Hi, my three year old Whirlpool Gold has just started making a very loud noise mid cycle. I have been opening the dishwasher and the noise stops, but will begin again the moment I start the dishwasher again. Sometimes, if I wait a while before starting it up again, it will run without the noise…but eventually the noise will begin again. Any ideas on what is wrong and how expensive it will be to fix? My warranty is out and I’m in panic mode! (Also, I’ve been noticing the dishes aren’t as dry as usual at the end of the cycle…not sure if there is a correlation or not)
