Refrigerator is making a loud buzzing noise for hours at a time. Usually for hour or more in the morning and then in late afternoon/early evening.
Started having problems in general last week. Noticed food was freezing in bottom of refrigerator so adjusted temp in that side to be warmer.
A couple of days later the ice was totally frozen into the ice bin. I removed the bin and thawed the ice. Then the auger wouldn’t pull the ice forward. Read that the motor might be frozen that drives the auger. Was trying to figure out how to get the motor out to see if it could be thawed, when the noise started that night.
Turned off the whole thing for a couple of hours and now the ice auger works fine. Continue to have the sound though.
Freezing and cooling seems to be fine.
I appreciate any advice you have and would attempt a repair if possible.
