LP conversion HELP something is not right

Hello to whoever may help. The kit came with 5 orifices thats it. I have 4 burners. I have 1 95 left. after installing 2 95s in the standard burners, a 114 in the powerboost and a 67 in the simmer. What is the last one for? Or is it extra for models with 5 burners? All the burners work fine.

Now my main problem is with the oven. The oven burners flame comes up the sides of the inside about 4 inches. The broilers flame covers the whole top. The manual says the flame should only be 1/2 inch in lengh. Something is ay off. I turned the fitting with the cover around on the regulator and when I move the air shutter nothing changes. All this tells me is the gas flow to the oven burners is too much. What did I do wrong? Is this last 95 orifice supposed to go somewhere? For some reason the oven did not come with the LP kit. Thanks for you help.

If the burners work fine, then the other orifice is for 5 burner models. Did you turn the orifice hoods down on the bake and broil burners in the oven? There should have been something in the conversion guide about turning the hoods down about 2.5 turns clockwise before you adjust the air shutters.

wouldnt one go onto the oven, or does it have the adjustment at the regulator?
either way it needs to be changed.

The oven uses universal hoods where the burners attach to the tubing. They need to be turned all the way down for LP or backed off from tight (about 2.5 turns) for NG. The adjustment at the regulator compensates for line pressure and not gas output to individual burners. Although not changing the regulator can make for a nice campfire affect.

What or where is this hood. this is the parts diagram. Give me a number so I know what you are talking about. http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/assets/pdfs/literature/Repair%20Part%20List%20-%20W10161498.pdf

It’s item #21 on page #3. There is a corresponding hood the bake burner mounts to also that is not pictured in the part breakdown. Go over your conversion instructions for the oven and you will find the information.

Well thanks for trying to help, But the parts shown in that diagram are the only parts I see. There is absolutely nothing else I could adjust there. The only moveable object is the shutter and the orifice. If I had the conversion instructions I dont think I would be asking for help. The idiots did not include them, Its just the way my luck usualy goes, when I have a problem, an expert cannot even help. Thanks again anyway.

Take a look at the photo of the broil orifice (the photo is from an Electrolux oven, but yours should be very similar) and you will see some threads on the end of the pipe. The brass orifice hood is screwed on to that pipe and to complete your conversion, you need to turn the hood clockwise about 2.5 turns with a wrench. The same goes for the bake burner. These are universal orifices and the hoods screw down onto needles that adjust the flow of gas to the burner. The burner fits over the end of the hood and you can see the hood through the opening in the air shutter. Use a wrench and turn them down. They may be hard to turn, but 2.5 turns is about right. The turn on the oven and see how it works.
