I recently purchased this Compact washer knowing that it had a bad Control board…Price was right. I ordered a new control board since the old one was dead and a new door switch since I know this is a real problem with these units. Both items were installed last night. The control panel comes up as it should. when I place the washer in any mode (doesn’t matter) after the normal time cycle the door will lock ( i hear the relay and door will not open). However the door lock led does not light up and after 1-2 min the code DL (door lock) appears. Powering off and on does not good. I verified all wiring between the switch, the control panel and power filter unit…all good. I’m assuming that the door switch even though new is defective. Your thought please and how do I get it replace since it’s new?
Thanks…Tom
This is a fairly rare model and I have only worked on a couple of them. They are difficult to work on.
It sounds like the door lock assembly is the problem but it is also possible your new control unit is bad.
If you bought from this site you can return the parts and get replacement parts or a refund. Otherwise I can only advise you to go back to the seller of the board and the door lock assembly and see if they will replace them.
Sisfink43…Thaks for your reply. Further testing I found that the door lock switch is working properly. All voltages appera as they should I contacted Appliance parts pros this morning and they are sending a replacement control panel. We’ll let you know the results when the part arrives. Again…Thanks for responding…Tom
Great, let us know how things work out.
Sorry not to be able to be more definitive, but that is the nature of diagnosing this model and the fact that we rarely work on it.
