majic chef oven problem

Hello,when i turn on my oven the bake ignighter glows bright orange but the gas does not kick on.I did read in other posts that it should glow white. when i turn on the broiler it also glows bright orange and almost instantly the gas kicks on and it lights. Should they be different colors?, or is the broiler ignighter going too?,or is it even the ignighter? Really dont want to get nickel and dimed. thanks
