Maytag Atlantis - Help with Problem (Video Included)

Hello,

I’ve read many of the posts on this forum and they have been very helpful. I have a Maytag Atlantis (MAV7550AWW) Washer. It is making a high pitch noise during agitation and spinning. From the forum I have read that it could be simply a hair pin caught in the drain pump or the spin bearing may need to be replaced.

I am including a link to a video of the sound that it is making. Wondering if anyone might have some insights for me?

Noises are very difficult to diagnose, but if it is making it in the spin mode then a tub bearing might be the problem.

Thanks sidfink43. I had a PM that suggested it might be the drain pump. So I tipped up the washer (unplugged it first of course) and moved the pulley with my hand to see if it would make the same noise - which it did. So I removed the front panel, removed the drain pump and found a bobby-pin in it. Once I removed that and put it all back together it is working great.
