Maytag Atlantis washer-dial problem?

Model: MAV6250AWW
Serial: 20897816ZK

Had a load in the machine, machine filled with water, but then stopped working. I no longer get any response from moving the dial (i.e. changing cycle, on/off). Any thoughts on approaching or diagnosing the problem would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Check out the lid switch, you will either find that it is the problem, or be able to rule it out as the problem.
