Have a Maytag Bravos HE top load washer, received multiple error codes initially, and after reviewing the forum and error codes replaced the Shift actuator as that seemed to be the most likely culprit.
Attempted to calibrate the washer with the new shift actuator and it started to move, then the lid lock started flashing again.
Reviewed error codes again, and F01 E02 now appeared. Followed all the diagnostic instructions after running all the manual tests. Everything works when tested manually. Did the Ohm Meter test of the capacitor, and it immediately went to an "open" test showing infinite resistance. Replaced the capacitor and attempted to recalibrate the machine. Again, the calibration started, the motor started moving and the machine crashed again. Receiving the same F01 E02 error code.
Am I screwed and have to replace the main control board, as that’s the next step in the service manual?
