Replaced control board which was apparently zapped by a recent power surge.
Dishwasher actually ran last night and cleaned dishes.
But the control panel/touch pad is not working normally. Mainly: None of the Cycle selections light up when their buttons are pushed. But, pushing a Cycle followed by pushing Start/Cancel started the dishwasher going and the selected Normal wash light came on.
Tonight I ran the Field Service Test. The dishwasher appeared to run the whole test. Nearly all lights came on. (I forget which ones didn’t) Heavy Was flashed throughout the test. So the lights can work, they just don’t light in respond to pressing their buttons. No error codes were displayed during or after the test.
What do I do next? I’ve read online that cleaning the contacts on the Control Panel’s ribbon connector can get the panel working. I didn’t notice anything bad looking about the ribbon when the old control board was out.
Does it sound like I need to replace the control panel?
