We have a Maytag dishwasher, model number MDB7749AWM2.
One day, the dishwasher would not start. We found the Tech Sheet behind the kick plate and the section to initiate the diagnostic tests via the control panel. The dishwasher runs through its diagnostic-cycles fine and the appropriate LEDs light-up during that time…including the "Start" button.
However, when trying to have it actually wash dishes, I can select options on the control panel (and they will light-up when selected) but it will not start…and the "Start" button does not light-up when selected. (Start button does light-up via the diagnostics.)
Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I am tired of washing dishes by hand.
