just replaced the heater/thermostat in my dryer and cleaned the lint passage all the way to the exhaust on the back, but it takes good 3 to 4 cycles to dry the clothes. To eliminate this problem I replaced the parts (heater/thermostat). The problem still remains.
What I noticed that it goes to max high temp, then cuts of and stays in a sort of warm temp mode to the finish.
thanx for your response. The maytag’s model is # PYE2300AZW.
I am not sure if there is low limit thermostat to kick back the heat on again. However, I replaced the element and hi limit thermostat recently which did not solve the problem.
The resistance on new element and thermostat was almost same (10 ohms and .5 ohms respectively)
As I mentioned I cleaned out all the lint to allow max air flow.
