Read similar problems, without exact symptoms…

Fabric Dispenser not dispensing softener in any cycles…

*Cleaned out tray
*Entered service mode to check solenoids–passed all tests but one, including cold and bleach valve (Rotary Cycle selector set to "Wrinkle Control" and "Delicates")
*No Valve activation when testing Bleach and Cold valve together (Rotary cycle selector set to "colors." for fabric softener dispensing
*No error codes

Diagnosis is that water is not dispensing during softener time in washing cycle, leaving softener in tray. Replaced hot water valve within 2 years, still on original cold valve.

Wondering if it is a very expensive control board, or if cold valve(s) is/are able to pass separate tests but fail combined fabric softener test. Hopefully maybe another issue/test I’m missing. Thanks in adavance.

I think the likely problem is with the cold water valve, as there are several solenoids that open for various items.

Try replacing it and see if that fixes things. If not, the control unit could be the problem or the wiring to the cold water valve could be at fault.

If you buy the cold water valve assembly from this site and it does not fix things you can return it.
