Recently my wife complained the dryer took about 5 cycles to dry a load of jeans, so I opened it up and began checking it out.
With door off, i noticed the flame will stay lit for 15 sec and then go out.
The first thing I checked was the thermostat (part #17 on the diagram http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Maytag-Parts/All-Products-Parts/Model-LDG9304AAM/3048/0150000/X2900667/00006?blt=06&prst=0&shdMod=LDG9304AAM
When i jumpered around this thermostat, The flame burns constantly until I break the circuit. I went to the parts store and got a new one. Didnt fix the problem.
Next I replaced the main solenoid coil and the holding coil. Still did not fix problem
I took all the exhaust system apart and thoroughly cleaned it. Still same result. Any ideas?
