I have a Maytag gas dryer. The flame wouldnt light so I replaced the coils.
Now on the initial start up, the gas ignites. Great! Problem solved. Not so fast!
After the dryer heats up and the gas goes out, it does not reignite. The igniter glows but no gas. I have tapped on the metal housing where the coils are while the igniter is glowing and it lights!
What is wrong? Is it the valve itself?
