maytag gas stove top electric ignition won't stop clicking

The ignition clicking won’t stop, even when the burners are lit. I turned off the circuit breaker-- that turns off the clicking. The gas burners work fine. What could be the problem? Last year the clicking on the right two burners wouldn’t stop clicking, so I did something that stopped the clicking. The burners have worked fine. Now the left two clickers won’t stop clicking. I washed the stove thoroughly on each of these occasions-- would water on the wires or in the system cause the problem. I am in Santa Monica, is there a repair tech out here that you can recommend/ Thank you. pls help
