Maytag Neptune dryer

Hi all,
I have a Maytag Neptune dryer with a problem. The digital display reads 88 and will not function. Until recently it would reset its self after a little while and work properly, like any electrical component getting ready to go out completely. Now it will not reset at all. I unplugged it for a day and tried to get the diagnosis system to respond and no luck. Please help my family of seven is getting buried in laundry.
