Washer was going through a wash cycle and when I returned it was off. Checked power supply and it’s good. Unplugged and replugged thinking washer needed to reset? Nothing. Door is in lock so I can’t remove the wet clothes. How can I get the door open? Assume the control board is damaged.

I have an older Neptune model MAH 5500BWW and there is a nylon wire located inside the soap dispensor toward the front panel. If you pull it bak toward the rear of the washer, it is suppose to manually unlatch the door.
Thanks, I actually ending up paying $30.00 to a tech on some website that came up when I googled free appliance repair info. Anyway that is what I got and it worked. Do appreciate the reply. Need to upload youtube video showing that process so nobody has to get the $30.00 charge for such a simple process. After live chat with Appliance Parts Pros yesterday I concluded that the control panel is damaged. I will post an update on the results of replacing the board. I was not sure how to check for continuity but Appliance Parts Pros said I could return it if that did not fix the problem. I thought that was very professional and fair.
