Had this same problem after 2 years old. Also getting to be very noisy during wash cycles as if bearings are grinding…loud whirring sound. This washer is a piece of junk!!!
If you are you looking for help I will try.
Is the wash tub banging around in Spin Cycle? Are you taking any error codes with the fail to spin like dC or uC?
If so see this post Maytag Neptune load unbalance
I’m sure you have a Clutch malfunction and leaky Tub Seal causing the Outer Tub bearings to degrade not good for the clutch either.
I’m an owner not a repair person and own a few of them. I pick them up cheap from owners and can get them up in running in short order. It’s a very easy machine to work on if you have some basic hands on.
I have changed out the outer tub bearings on my Series 10 machine along with a Tub Seal replacement no big deal. If your machine has the integrated One-Way Roller Clutch Bearing as part of the Lower Outer Tub bearing assembly (the 1st two digits of your S/N will tell us that) the job will be a bit more challenging but can be done.
If you have had enough with the machine just ignore my post…Dick
