Maytag range top igniters all quit

Hello Folks

All the igniters on my rangetop quit the other day. The gas works just fine, the electrical outlet is fine, but there is no sparking/clicking at all. I’m guessing the spark module failed. Two questions: 1) did I guess right? and 2) how do I access that module to replace it? Do I need to somehow remove the glass top or is there some way to get at it from underneath? The top is of course caulked onto the countertop… Many thanks for your help!

VSP,

Yes,

You are correct on both counts,

You most likely have an inoperatvie spark module or loose connection.

You have to remove the unit from the cabinet, remove the burners, grates and drip pans to remove the glass cooktop to access the wiring and spark module.

Sounds worse than it really is, I’m sure you can do it.
