When i was washing clothes my maytag performa started smoking and smelt like burn rubber. Any ideas of what it might be or how I can go about fixing it? Thanks for any leads.
Check the pump to see if it turns freely. Also check to see if transmission pulley turns ok, then replace the belt.
I see water pump pulleys lock up on these models and tub bearing go out, both will burn belts.
What panel do i remove to access these belts? Is there a manual online I can refer to?
