I need some advice on what appears to be a tub seal leak. I scanned the forums for a common model but didn’t find one and just want some advice and guidance. I’m pretty handy but want to avoid the simple mistakes - ie not having the tool to remove a seal or bearing.
SYMPTOMS:
The machine leaks water from the seal and slings it around. I can see water on the seal during operation using a flash-light and water is flying around everywhere as it operates.
There is definitely a failed bearing in the works - based on the noise and forum information it would appear to be one of the tub drive bearings.
There may also be a secondary problem with water level control as water also leaks down the tub from the top. Water likes to slosh out from the top and run down the outside. This isn’t very much water and may have been related to the load that was in it at the time I was watching. The level was set to Large for this load.
Any advice and which specific kits I should purchase would be most appreciated. I am quite comfortable dis-assembling the unit and would want to replace additional recommended parts as suggested.
The S/N starts with a 13. Does this make it a 13 series? If so which seal kit is required?
It would appear I need some or all of the required kits below:
