Maytag Washer door locks, will not start cycle

After final spin with heavy towels, machine made loud noise like the door was unlocking but much louder. Door did not unlock after cycle ended and had to be unlocked manually. Ran a diagnostic test and code was for defective door latch. Bought a new door latch and installed it. Machine powered up, door locked but wash cycle would not start. Pushed pause/ cancel and add a garment light flashed, door made unlocking sound but did not unlock and red door locked light still on. Ran diagnostic test and indicated that it was a communications problem. Bought a new CCU and installed it. After power on the door locked but machine did not start wash cycle. Pause/cancel button did not unlock door or shut off machine. Machine will now not run diagnostic test either. Thought maybe defective CCU…was sent another one. Installed it and nothing changed. Then bought a new Cntrl-Elec board. Installed it and nothing changed. Finally, bought a new main wire harness. Installed it and the machine acted the same as before. After pressing pause/cancel and having nothing happen as before…it then began to respond and unlock as it should. So, it locks and unlocks ok now but still does not call for water to start the washing cycle. It also still will not run a diagnostic test. What do I do next?
