Maytag washer - 6 months old and with very little use - begins cycle by allowing water into drum. Then nothing happens and digital display shows "F11" as the problem. Resets and restarts end with same result. Suspect a power surge. There’s a control panel ciruit board and a motor circuit board. Assume I need one or the other. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have a good idea,
F11 code indicates a motor or motor control failure.
You stated it may be due to a voltage surge, and that could have damaged either board, but I’d have to suspect the motor control board first.
I reccomend you check the motor winding(s) resistance and harness for possible damage.
Check the harness from the motor control unit to the main control board for possible damage, and replace the MCU if all checks OK.
The technical date sheet (with all the pertinent information and test modes) is located inside the cabinet , on the back wall(usually).

You’re welcome,
I’m really sure you will need a motor control unit but do those checks first.
