hello i put a belt on this machine i was wondering what provides the tension on the belt, The motor slides in two slots,this is a single belt system with 3 pulleys. the motor pulley transmission pulley and water pump pulley. is there a spring thats missing the belt has no tension on it
The belt is supposed to be kind of loose, as the motor starts up it tightens and this acts as a clutch.
There is a motor spring, make sure you have it in correctly, see this diagram here.
