Need help diagnosing problem…
My Maytag model LAT9457BAE top load washer won’t spin or drain.
Symptoms…
- Timer moves thru entire cycle.
- Lid switch appears to operate correctly. (i.e., agitator stops when lid is opened.
- No humming sounds or burning smells.
- I can hear faint sound of timer ticking when spin or drain cycle should be going.
- Both belts are in-place.
- Hot and Cold water fill to proper levels — no over-fill.
- Drain does not appear to be clogged. Removed drain hose from wall outlet and was able to drain water into a bucket placed on the floor.
- Wash/Agitate cycle seems to be working OK. Agitator moves CCW.
- Same symptoms whether timer is set to "Light" "Delicate" or "Heavy" setting.
Wiring diagram is available online(http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=49327&diagram_id=28440572), but I’m not sure where to start testing based on symptoms described above. Any Suggestions? Does this washer have an "out of balance" switch? — Some forums mention this OOB switch as a possible problem.
