My GE Profile Spacemaker microwave (JVM1490WD) suddenly stopped heating. The keypad works (for instance, the timer decrements as if it were running), but neither the microwave nor the convection oven works, nor does the turntable spin. I accessed the panel, discharged the HV capacitor, checked the main relay to the power elements (relay 2) and various resistances and found no problem. I then closed it up and reconnected the power. It then worked (making all the usual noises and heating up water)! I figured I’d fixed a loose connection or bad contact. Unfortunately, after a few uses, it stopped working in the same way as before. I re-opened it, opened and closed a few contacts, tried to make sure all connections were good, and closed it up again. Again, it worked for a few uses, and then stopped working. Any ideas of where the problem lies? Thank you.
