microwave gave off a slight smell of hot wires and stopped heating but lights, fan, and turntable are still working. i think it might be the magnetron. but it seems in this model there are three possibilities, 1- magnetron assy 2-trans-hv 3-diode-hv. is there a way to isolate which part it is or does all three parts need to be replaced at the same time? thanks steph
Oven will not work, the display doesnt light up or even come on. We have varified that it does have electricity going to the board but like I said nothing will work, any suggestions on what might be the problem. Do I just need to get a new circut board or is there some place that I can send it to and have it fixed? Thanks
Check that model #. On most whirlpool ovens there is a thermostat on the back. If it were bad, it could kill the power to the board. So be sure you have the power to the board.
