I don’t know how to get the agitator out of this washer and if anybody knows how I would appreciate you telling me for the washer works just fine but is sometimes throwing a dirty substance out from under it especially on smaller loads. It is a 20 pound plus capacity and I can’t find a thing about it anywhere.

My whirlpool had just had its 10th birthday, it runs ok until the spin cycle ok ,it does not spin and makes a screechy noise but pumps the water out ok. There is oil on the bottom of the gearcase that seem to be comming out where the shaft goes in from the coupling and I can spin the coupling by my finger. I was doing a load of towels the problem is there even with no load.
If there anything else I should replace while I have the thing apart.

Well, the most likely solution is a new clutch, see this site

http://repair2000.com/wp_clutch.htm

However (there is always a however)

Grease or oil indicates your transmission may be failing, and given the age of the machine you can either replace the clutch and hope that fixes it for a while, or what I would recommend is a new or used machine. I strongly recommend used direct drive machines for people like yourself who know how to do the repairs. They sell for about $125 to $175 in my area, and probably the same in yours.

That is the way to go.

Let us know what you do and how it works out.

Hi Sidfink43,
Thanks for the reply, I appologise for taking so long to reply, I got a quote for the spare parts, 120 for the clutch assembly and around 420 for the Gearbox, that is in Aussie dollars, so I decides to get a new machine. I doubt whether I will het such a good service out of the " LG " made in Thailand. Thanks for your help.

Well, good luck with your new LG, and thanks very much for updating us.

Dryer won’t start when I turn the button & only heard some noise,if I turn 3 to 4 times more the button then the noise gone and I can smell burn from the control panel may be the smell from the timer switch. So is it something wrong of one of the parts inside the control panel?
