I have a 2004 GE Monogram zisw420dmc refer. There are often small drips on the floor under the lower left and right corners of the freezer door. The fiberboard and stainless door cover have become damaged by water. The door underneath is rusty in areas. Last year I had service replace the ice door solenoid that had become rusty and sticky. When I pulled the refer out of its cabinet hole, the back was wet and rusty on the freezer side, and the wall behind this area has mold. Internet search offered that the drain hole in the freezer may be clogged, and take off the back and clip the hose and run a wire up into it and to the coils. I think this must be for another model because I don’t see a drain hole, or rear access, and my coil is on top. Please help. Curt
Please be aware that this high end line is known by GE t have leaking.condensation problems. I have had 2 Monograms sweat into the drywall and cause mold to grow. First one leaked 10 years the replacement leaked for 2 years. Air testing showed the house is contaminated with harmful mold spores that spread airborne. GE accepts liability for the mold on the wall but will not help us decontaminate our home. We have been living in a hotel. Please remove your Monogram and check the wall/cabinets surrounding it. The unchecked water source causes TOXIC MOLD to grow. This is a hazardous refrigerator. Contact me for more about what happened in my home. You will not believe it.
