Motor Pulley or Tub Bearing?

Hi,

I have a 1978 Maytag A806 that was already in my historic home when I bought it three years ago. I have come to love the w/d set as this forum helped me fix the non-working dryer (as a newlywed with a new house–you guys made me feel like a badass!–plus I enjoyed doing it) I have fixed a few minor issues between both machines.

Last week I put a new drive and pump belt on the washer. Everything was fine for a few washes, but now there is a small amount of leaking water during spin cycles and the last inch or two of water doesn’t drain from the tub. In addition to this, I am thinking the agitation of the machine isn’t as vigorous as it is supposed to be.

I am thinking it is the motor pulley(?) Thoughts? I started second guessing myself into thinking it might be tub bearing and seal.

I appreciate any advice. I have enjoyed working my way around these machines, but with an extremely limited budget and a 11 month old son, I can’t afford to do as much trial and error as I’d like or have it down long.
