My GE side by side refrigerator is too cold. This started as a freezing-up coil in the freezer. I tested the thermistor and the reading was more than 5% (about 12.5K) from 16K so I changed it. Then I noticed the water only worked intermittently so I ordered the main board from GE and changed it too. (I switched both the thermistor and the main board at the same time) Immediately my internal temp dropped in the fridge to 30/31 degrees. I lowered my settings on the thermostats to 1 and 1 and still the temp is too low (cold). If I set my temps any lower (0), the freezer (and I assume the entire unit) will be off. I don’t want to, but I think I need to re-test my thermistor values in ice water and maybe I need to put the old thermister back in…
I am also going to try something I read about resetting the board by unplugging and waiting 30 minutes then plugging it back in.
