Good afternoon,
I am trying to find out a model number for my GE wall oven and I’m hoping someone here might be able to assist me with that. I can’t find the manual and the ID plate inside the oven cannot be read anymore. I have gone to my local appliance repair store and they said without a model number they can’t do anything. The same holds true for when I called GE directly.
All I am looking to do is to replace the baking element. I have tried universal ones but they don’t fit. I can’t afford $120 for a repairman to come out to take a look at it and then in the end they may not be able to help anyway if they have never seen this one before.
The oven was purchased and installed back in 1998 in Canada. It has dials for temp and element selection and a digital clock with push button controls for the time and timer. Here are some pictures of the outside and inside:
I know ovens can come in different wattages and thats ok. if i can get a base model number to work from then i can try and figure out the rest.
Thank you very very very very much for trying to help me with this! This is my last resort and I truly hope someone here can help as I don’t know what else to do.
Geoff
