Need Help to Remove Broken Shelf Stud

[SIZE=2]I want to know how to correctly remove the parts 20 & 22 from the Whirlpool Refrigerator as shown in http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=247242&diagram_id=46669#d46669
I am trying to replace the old broken parts with the new parts I have ordered. What method and basic tools do I use to pull those old parts out of that refrigerator wall?

Please respond ASAP.

Alternatively, I would have to create a new hole for the new studs I ordered. What do you think? And how would I do that?

If what you have looks like the one on the right in this photo, You can very gently pry outward on the flange up against the cabinet liner, and press in on the spring-leaf retiners. The replacement will just pop into place. Be very careful in prying against the liner. You don’t want to crack the plastic.
