Need help with fridge

I need some help here. My Fridge went out last week. I quickly found the cause because of the clicking sound. The relay/overload. I checked the run capacitor 15 micro farad, so I ordered the relay. Great shipping from APP, one day! So yesterday I install it and it sounds/feels like the compressor is running, but still not cooling. I took it apart and checked the capacitor again and now it is open. I was thinking of just installing a hard start kit, but don’t want to keep pouring money into a 12 year old unit. We purchased another refrigerator and I was planning on using this as my garage unit, but since I already have one, I don’t know what to do. any suggestions?

I am assuming that the compressor runs continuously except when the unit goes through a defrost cycle.

Check the compressor to see if it is vibrating.
If yes then it is probably a sealed system problem and probably not worth fixing due to the cost.

I only ran the unit for about an hour and the compressor was vibrating, no more "clicking" noise. I was just a little perplexed because the capacitor read good before I installed the relay, but bad afterwords. Can I return the relay?

Can I return the relay?
I do not know, I just volunteer my time here and do not work for a parts supplier.

OK thanks for the information.
