I just bought this Amana washer. At first I didn’t think it worked at all. I started it, it locked the lid…and nothing. No water filling, nothing. Frustrated, I went upstairs and made a couple phone calls. About 20 minutes later I heard it filling. I thought, Wow, but great. Then after it filled it stopped. Nothing. No agitation, nothing. I thought, well, let me wait 20 minutes. TWO HOURS later (no kidding), it drains out. About 30 minutes after draining, it fills again. No agitation, no spin. Overall, about 4 hours later, it shuts off. Never agitated nor spun. This has been very frustrating! :mad:
Check your warranty. Most washers are covered by a one year parts and labor warranty, so get Maytag out there to fix it.
