Agitator barely moves however it does go into agitate mode as soon as water level selected is obtained water valve cuts off and a rumbling, grinding sounds begins removed plastic cap on large pulley underneath looks fine didn’t want to go further not knowing what to look for, drive belt looks fine. Is there a spline to chek on agitator, ratcheting motion on upper half of agitator is working fine its lower half not working. Any suggestions? THANKS!
I would start by taking off the agitator (it is held down by a bolt under the cap). I am guessing you will find the problem with worn splines on the bottom half, but you will have to look at it to be certain.
