No Heat Electric Dryer

I’ve tested resistance on the obvious components and all seem fine - heating element, hi limit thermostat, thermal cutoff, thermal fuse, operating thermostat, timer motor. I’ve tested voltage at the outlet - fine. Any suggestions on what it could be. Note, I’m a newbie at electrical stuff. Thanks for your help.

I had the same problem and checked everything out and was puzzled because everything was checking good or so I thought. The heating side of the dryer uses 220 volts and was causing every thing I checked to seam to have voltage. Long story short I had a bad timer control. take it apart and see if the contacts are burned out.

Thanks. I did check the resistance of the timer motor and it was fine. Could that still be the problem though?

I cannot find any tech info on this unit.

Do you have the wiring diagram?

It will not be the timer motor.

I am assuming that you got 240 volts at the outlet.
Did you disconnect at least one side of any device you were measuring. This ensures that you do not read an alternate/parallel circuit path.

There will be a couple other parts in the heater circuit at least one set of timer contacts and a centrifugal switch on the motor.

I’m an appliance repair technician and on occasion I have seen a wire burned off the terminal block where the pigtail is attached to the back of the dryer.

Thanks for the responses. Somehow I got it working. I took out the drum and didn’t see any problems with the wiring at the motor. I took out the heating element and it looked fine. Then I removed the 2 leads to the thermal cutoff and joined them, tested, and the element fired up! Then I connected them back to the cutoff and it still fired up! So I put the thing back together and I’m on my second load of laundry as I type.
