no ice no water-frigidaire

no ice, no water, from freezer door dispenser. appears that there is no power to door (no lights at all). checked electric connecter on upper door hinge-looks ok. any suggestions on what to do?

paul

Hi, Paul.

Please check the freezer door switch. Power to the dispenser control is supplied through that switch. You should read continuity between C and NO when switch is pushed in.

any way to remove switch from freezer side or do i have to go in from the back of the freezer wall? in photo it looks like there is a "catch", dont know to get to it.

paul

Hi.

Yes, there is the catch on one side of the switch.Use a putty knife and flat screwdriver to pop it out.
Unplug the fridge while doing it.

Based on the information you provided the power board should be replaced 241708102

Simon.

i got the part you suggested, any hints on disassembling the dispenser without breaking anything. are there screws under the button cover or does the cover pop off (catches?), etc

paul

Hi.

If you pull out the drip tray you’ll see screws holding the frame.

Hi.

Check if you are getting 120VAC to the power board between Red/Blk and LtBlu?
If you do then check the harness ribbon and replace the switch control board

You can return the power board for full refund.
