I have a GE side by side TFX24RLJ, which is new to me, but not new. I appears that I have no ice, yet the water is connected and I am getting water through the door. I have made sure that the handle/on-off is down but it’s been about 12hrs and not a cube to be had. Does this mean I have a bad icemaker, or is there something else that I could have overlooked? This being a used unit, I have no manual to go by.
Apparently it takes at least 24 hours for the thing to start making ice. I got up this morning and my ice bucket is now half full. It’s weird, as my other refrigerators never took that long, but I have ice now and that’s all that matters.
To answer your question though, I don’t know the exact temp in there, but it was cold enough to keep my frozen food frozen.
I guess now I’ll just have to keep an eye on it for a bit to ensure it keeps making ice.
