Hi there, this is my first post, great to see there is help for appliance repair!
I did use the search first to try and find an answer but had no luck.
I bought this fridge recently knowing that it wasn’t working, but i watched some videos and learned how to test for some of the common problems and it seemed like it may be possible that it was the start relay so I bought it.
Basically, the guy said that it would defrost if he didn’t keep food in the freezer, so he recently unplugged it to defrost it. When he plugged it back in it never started back up again.
When you plug it in, the fan in the freezer runs, but that’s it, the fan in the back nor the compressor run, no click, no nothing, just the freezer fan running. All the lights work, the control panel seems to be fine.
I replaced the start relay and no different. Then I figured out how to run it through self diagnostic tests on the display, when I came to the test for the compressor it started right up and cools great, I can see frost starting on the freezer condenser fins right away. all other tests worked perfectly, the only one I am not sure of is the Freezer Thermistor test…It should show a Pass, Open or short as a result, mine shows open, the temperature where the fridge is at that time was around 4C/39F. The test for the fridge temperature sensor showed a pass.
Is the thermistor the issue? Or is it something else I haven’t tried?
