Oven/Broiler does not get hot

When I turn the oven on e.g. 350, the oven indicator displays 140 pre-heat for about 45 seconds and goes off. Does not display any error messages. The broiler does the same. Both the heating elements are warm to touch but that’s all. We have replaced the oven sensor and the transformer relay board part number Y040100260 and still the oven nor the broiler works. Changing these two parts did nothing to solve the problem. Do you know what I need to do now aside from replacing the whole range/oven??? Thanks for any help or answers!

Most likely the problem is a bad control board (aka a clock/timer).

Thanks, Gene. I think you are probably right on the clock/timer board. We purchased the Jenn-Air in 1994 and are looking at buying a new one since we already have $300 invested in this oven so far and the oven/broiler still does not work. But we may still buy the part and see if that fixes the problem. Will purchase the part from you if we do not buy the new range/oven.

How do you get access to that relay board?? I think mine is bad beacuse the broiler works but the bake cycles do not. The bake element is okay, I checked it with an ohm meter and got 20 ohms.

The information I found is very uncertain and confusing (thanks to Maytag). Per the service manual "…relay/power supply boards are mounted at rear of upper control panel area, accessible by removing control panel" while at the diagram it’s shown by the left side panel (13).

You are right Gene, the diagrams are terrible, I did find the board behind the rear panel.
Thank you!

You are welcome. I’m glad you were able to find it. Did the new board fix the problem?

Gene.

Don’t know yet, it’s on order, but hope it will,
