My KitchenAid KGST307BBL2 is having an oven problem. Some elements of the touch pad seem to work then everything stops. For example, I press "bake" and the display says 300degF, "Start?". Then after a couple seconds, it says 1degF then "Err". Then if I press START again it says 300degF and I hear the fan spin up. After about 10 sec, it beeps and gives error code F2:E5.
I also get F2:E5 after cycling power.
P.S. I found the service manual you posted for this oven in another thread. THANK YOU! I didn’t know this existed but now, if it’s the controller, I feel like I can do it myself.
Hi everyone. I realized after posting this that I didn’t really ask a question. So:
Will someone please tell me what could be causing this and how to positively determine whether its the controller?
I’d like to avoid trial and error fixes and the accumulation of repair costs that might exceed the cost of just replacing the whole unit.
Thank you very much.
I,m having issues with my kitchenaid too, you refer to another post with a manual, could you tell me where you found it. I think it could help me too.
jackie460: I don’t remember where I got the manual but I did get it, and I have other documents you might find useful too. I don’t know how to send them to you through this forum though. Otherwise, I could try to email them (but they’re big files) or set up a Picasa album and you could download them. Let me know. The documents I have are:
