Question; Does the oven need to be removed completely?

Hi.

If you have a pair of locking pliers, this can be done with out taking the oven out.

  • Open the oven door half way.

  • Take the door off the hinges.

  • Remove two screws holding the hinge.

  • Pull the hinge out until you will see the spring.

  • Clamp the pliers on it so it would not spring back.

  • Replace the hinge.

Replace the second hinge, reinstall the door.

Hi Simon, Opened Oven door and pulled straight up off the hindges no problems. wheel on hindge had lost bearings and was jamming the arm that traveled over it. unsrewwed hinge and i could feel the spring was still hooked on. Had new hinge ready and did just like you posted with no problems. The metal around the screws needed to be pushed back into place no problems. What I wasn’t ready for was the oposite hindge was working fine but spring had come loose of mount at bottom of oven. Door shut just fine with one spring. So THANK YOU FOR THE HELP.

Hi.

Don’t recommend to leave only one spring on. Pull out the drawer and try to get to the spring from the bottom.

Hi, This is a double oven so it just has the pan on the bottom oven. Is there a access port through the bottom at the side? Hard to tell looking at the diagram it looks like somethings there. will have to check in to it.
