I’m stumped … The bottom door stays open an inch … I switch the bottom door with the top door and same thing … Top door closes and bottom door stays open an inch … Lookin and the recieving brakets on the top and bottom they both look the same … nothin broken or out of place … What am I missing … model number JT952SK2SS
Can you switch the receiver brackets around and see if it changes?
Im goin to try that this afternoon … it’s a built in wall oven so ill have to pull it out alittle ways to get to them … I think then maybe I can get a better look whats goin on … Thank you for the reply
Let us know what you find.
I work on these at Penn State. One of your reciever brackets is worn which prevents the door hinge from going in all the way. You will need to pull each hinge lock ( a hollow sheet metal piece ) back, then pull the door up and off. You will see a hinge reciever metal worn. It will need to be replaced. To put the door back, you must pull each door hinge all the way back (I use a screwdriver to facilitate this), then push the hinge lock backward into the door slot, thus locking the hinge in place.Probably a two man operation. To put the door back, you tilt the upper part away from the frame, then push down to allow the hinges to mate with the receptacles, then push the door down, then up, repeate if nesessary. Then push each hinge lock forward toward frame. If owners manual is available, it helps. The stoves I work on are model JBP26WB4WW and the hinges look the same.
Thank you for the reply … Funny story but I way over thought this one … The hinges and recieving brackets were still good … I couldnt tell at first but the cleaning lady cleaned the oven the day before and removed the bottom plate … when she put it back in she didnt push it back in place … at a glance you couldnt tell it was out of place … It sat out just far enough to jam the door … Again Thank you for all your help

Thanks for the reply. I read the owner’s manual on this, but the only thing I got from it was you have to use the hing lock to get the door back in, everything else I had to figure out.
I felt pretty foolish when I finally realized it was that plate … At the time I didnt know it was removeable … I sometimes make things more complicated then they need to be
