APPLIANCE: GE Profile Double Wall Oven
PROBLEM: On the top oven, when the temperature is set to 400 degrees or more, after 10 minutes the door locks and the F9 error code flashes.
NOTES:
- We’ve had the problem ever since we did a self-clean cycle.
- When used at temperatures of 300 degrees or less for shorter periods of time, it works just fine.
- The control panel / console area gets VERY hot to the touch
- There does not seem to be any air coming out from the vent at the top left front above the door.
- The bottom oven works just fine.
- We replaced the motherboard and the problem persists.
- Convection fan works fine.
- I pulled the oven out and checked the filters and air passages and they are not blocked.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION?
- Could it be a problem with the cooling fan?
- If so, how can I replace/fix this (I’m fairly handy :)) but I do like some sort of repair guide or something!
