I have a maytag natural gas oven model MGR5755QDW and the stove top and broiler work fine. The oven is not heating…I turn on bake, it immediately reads 100 degrees (which is typical), I hear a click as though its turning on and then no advancing…no heat at all.
My concern is recently I used the broiler for a few minutes with a 9x13 glass baking dish and wonder if this caused a problem as that night (at least a couple hrs later, long after the oven was off) we heard a very loud ping (sort of like an electrical snap) and we couldn’t find what it was…wondering if this is when something broke?
My husband thinks its the sensor but isn’t sure. I have looked into parts and if its the baker burner they apparently no longer make the part…how do they not offer a replacement option? But I’m not sure what this is so any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
