I performed a self-cleaning cycle on a GE JBP77G. After the cleaning cycle, the oven will not work. However, I can perform another cleaning cycle. But it will not operate for normal cooking conditions. The latch door light continuously blinks when I try to use the oven. The stove top works as it should.
Hi.
You should check the door latch assembly. Check if it’s opens completely and the Logic Switch operates correctly.
I assumed that the model number is JBP77GS2, please correct me if I’m wrong.

Jdavis, Your description indicates an issue in the door latch assembly
or the logic switch or wiring
If the control "thinks" the latch is still in the self clean position, it will not allow you to program a bake or broil selection. You’ll need to raise the cook top assembly and check the mechanical latch components for proper alignment, bent components and loose screws. then the logic switch circuit and wires for proper operation and circuits back to the ERC/Clock.
How is the best way to check the wiring and circuit?

The best way to test the circuit is with a multi meter
[part]AP5641751[/part]
And to test the circuit at the three(3) pin connector on the ERC/Clock. Unplug the connector, place one meter probe on/in the #1 wire and the other meter probe in/on the #3 wire, of the harness connector. You’ll need to manually operate the switch on the latch mechanism. In the "relaxed" / unlocked position there should be an "open" circuit. When the switch lever is "actuated" / locked position there should be a "closed" circuit. Doing this test in this manner will verify if the switch, wiring and connections are proper.
Thank you. I will give this a try. I will reply if I need and more information.
There was a loose connection. Thanks so much for your assistance. If I ever need help I know where to come.
