I need advice on what part/s I need and how to fix my Kenmore Gas Range Oven. Model Number 790.7566320

I have been having trouble intermittently for a year with the oven not igniting or getting only to low temperatures or not working and smelling gas only.

Now the oven will not work at all. The broiler will start-up and works fine.

It sounds like you have had a weak igniter on your bake burner, and it has finally failed. as long as your broiler works (as you described) I’m relatively sure your gas valve and temperature control are working properly.

Should you attempt to repair your unit yourself, the part number for an igniter is[part]AP2150412[/part].
It is usually a rather simple repair and can be accomplished in a short period of time with basic hand tools.
