I have replaced the bake ignitor on my maytag range twice. This time I replaced it and it lit but did not heat up quickly and only got to 280 after more than five minutes. When I tried using it again I smelled gas but it did not light. It’s a brand new ignitor. The broil works as do the top burners. I only smell gas when I try to use bake setting. Is there anything else I can try to do to fix it?
