oven won't turn off

No matter what you set the temp. at it goes through the roof. The only way to shut it down is to kill the gas. Once it has cooled I can turn the gas back on. The range works fine, I’m assuming the thermostat.?. Is it easy to replace?

Most likely the problem is a bad oven thermostat. If you are somehow handy this part is not too difficult to replace yourself. There are many screws to remove but do not be afraid of it. Unplug the range. You do not have to shut the gas off. Start with the top panel, then knobs and the front panel. Then burners and the burner box.
